Songs that you connect with you

It's wild how sometimes a song can connect with you so strongly just because that happens to be exactly what you are feeling at the moment you hear it.

I just heard this one on Pandora, and it connected with me more than a song has in a while.

When you meet the one, that you've been waiting for
and she's everything, that you want and more
You look at her and you finally start to live for someone else
And then you find yourself,
yeah that's when you find yourself
-Brad Paisley

I have heard people refer to Getting married and "loosing yourself", but I think that for me at least, it has been quite the opposite. I think that it has been through my marriage that I have found myself.

I love being the Man that my wife needs me to be, and I can't wait to be the father that my children need me to be.

America

Another great American Independence day! So far today has been a great 4th of July.
  • Thai Food...
  • Imported Beer...
  • Imported Coffee...
Now I’m not saying that these things are un-american, but it’s interesting to think about the role that nationalism plays in today’s world. The idea that buying American is the only way to support America is an idea that has less truth than it has in our parents’ generation. An interesting idea that might be worth talking about more, but right now, it’s time for an American beer, and some fireworks.

Good Luck Barack!

I'm still not on the Barack Obama bandwagon-- but then again last week I was still on the fence about the Cardinals, and look at me now. GO CARDS!

I don't have a lot to say on the matter, except that I really do wish Mr. Obama good luck. He has a clean slate in my mind and I hope that he has a successful presidency and leads this great county into a successful future.

I hope that over the years our new president will accomplish victories so great that I will have no choice but to jump onto his bandwagon.

Good luck tomorrow as you celebrate your first day as the President of the United States.
